So, what’s coming to The Resort at Marble Hill? The biggest influence and the biggest change that is happening right now is this Caribbean food culture, culinary experience, revolution that is happening at the resort. The Resort at Marble Hill wants to be Roatan’s culinary destination. THE destination.
The owner, Josh White, is not going to mince words. He really wants this to be the groundswell of a food revolution on the island. He truly wants to take our world-class rustic theme for the resort. And infuse that into a dine and dive platform that is going to just be one of a kind. The dine part of that equation is a passion project for Josh. It's kind of humorous to hear it when he talks about Brisket, but he got a CUSTOM smoker from Texas that he brought down to Roatan. So, brisket is going to happen. But to have that in context with high end American cuisine, with some Caribbean Island influences.
The whole point is that you don't have one menu at the restaurant. It's this varied experience from day to day and meal to meal. If you're asking yourselves, "Well, how is that going to work?" Well, he's on a farm! The hydroponic farm is going to have at least 40 fruits and vegetables produced about 100 FEET from the kitchen that you're actually eating at! And he's not shy about the idea of this being a Michelin five-star restaurant (ed. note: three-star is the highest Michelin rating). That puts a big target on your back. And look, he's not afraid to say it. And I'm not going to bet against the guy. I’ve got to be honest.
The remodel of the restaurant itself is clean, it's contemporary, it's sophisticated and all of the new tile and the decor is just going to make this a COMPLETE experience. If you've been to Roatan before, yes, of course, the restaurant building is going to be familiar. But the new high-end aspects to the menu and to the restaurant itself are going to just absolutely blow you away. Cannot wait. And another really interesting part about it is going to be the idea of having rotating chefs.
So, you'll have a different vibe to the menus, depending upon what season that you actually arrive at Roatan. So, look. Get to Marble Hill. Go book it. You're not going to be sorry. Alright? I can't wait to see you there.
