Whether you’re a seasoned diver or a beginner, you can experience the world’s 2nd largest barrier reef at The Resort at Marble Hill.

The Mesoamerican Reef sits minutes away from our secluded beach, offering crystal clear waters, warm temperatures, and hundreds of species of marine life all year long. The reef’s terraced shelving creates a huge variety of coral formations, swim-through canyons, and caves.

30+ Dive Sites

Located on Roatan’s northeast end, The Resort at Marble Hill is minutes away from some of the world’s best barrier reef dive sites. Choose from more than 30 dive sites and explore an unforgettable underwater world.

A few of our favorite sites are…

DOLPHIN’S DEN

Explore an underwater cave teeming with marine life. Light streams in from openings to the surface, illuminating a dolphin skeleton, schools of fish, King crabs, Moray eels, jellyfish, and more. A torch is essential for this dive.

Depth: The majority of the dive is spent at 20-40 feet. Maximum depth of 55 feet.

McNab's Pinnacles

Navigate striking underwater canyons and large coral boulders at this site, which offers excellent visibility and dive conditions year round. See turtles, spotted drums, spotted garden eels, toadfish, and more.

Depth: The reef has a plateau at 15 feet then drops down a wall to a sandy bottom. Maximum depth of 60 feet.

The Mongoose

One of our most popular dives. Adventure through an open cavern with a fringing reef near the surface. Swim from one end of the cavern to another and look for lobsters, barracuda, parrotfish, snappers, Moray eels, and more.

Depth: The majority of the cavern is 40-60 feet. Maximum depth of 80 feet.

Gretchen’s Shell

Dive into an underwater reef canyon near the Roatan’s east end. Marine life sightings are different every time, and can include turtles, barracuda, trunkfish, puffer fish, spotted eagle rays, and more.

Depth: Typical maximum depth of 60 feet, though depths of 100 feet can be reached.

Morat Wall

The most dramatic wall dive in Roatan. Experience pristine coral reefs, huge numbers of fish, and rare marine species at this unforgettable dive site. The boat journey to the site takes you through a beautiful mangrove cut.

Depth: Typical maximum depth of 60 feet, though depths of 100 feet can be reached.
